Healing From Painful Emotions

The human condition includes both joy and pain. When we are overcome by loneliness, frustration, or the sheer pain of rejection, the world feels like a harrowing and unsafe place. We have been educated to think that we should avoid feeling “bad,” “sad,” or “depressed.” If you take the long-term view, and accept those feelings as indicators of reminders that you need to keep yourself happy, then you will realize that they are just part of life, and that there is something you need to do to move on from those feelings. So, accept them as part of your experience, keep breathing deeply, and move on – answering the question, “What do I need now to be happier?”
